Makers Mark: Grindley Made in England with sailboat in frame. Artist numbers. One with mark of England and artist number only. T W. H. Grindley English pottery company made earthenware and ironstone tableware, founded in 1880. The mark with a sailboat in a frame, with slight variations dates 1936-1954. Pattern contains two shades of blue, gold gilding, red. Some gilding worn. Pattern unknown. One dish has a chip/crack, no crazing, but has no effect on functionality (reflected in price). Lid has no chips or cracks.  No crazing, cracks, or chips on other dish or lid. See pictures.
