Tag from Little Chiefs Curios, Raton, NM. 1930-40's. Legend of the Indian Wedding Pitcher has it that on conclusion of ceremony the mated couple must drink a special love potion proposed by the tribe's medicine man simultaneously from each side, by tilting jug sideways so that they can be assured of a happy and fertile union blessed by The Great Spirits.  Native American History.
