F & JL England Silverplated Antique Shell Dish

Mark: F & JL, Made in England. Israel Freeman and Sons England.  Silver hinged clam shell caviar/oyster dish missing glass insert, and spoon. Israel Freeman and Sons England were silverplate dealers not silversmiths. They worked in London at the beginning of the 20th century and moved to NY City in the 1920's. The company was still in business in NYC in 2006 and being run by a mother and daughter team who are descendants of Isaac Freeman. Their website is currently closed.
