Mark: Under Glaze Hand Painted Homespun Vernonware California USA. Mid-Century Modern vintage platter. Pattern: Homespun produced 1949-58. Designer: Turnbull. Shape: Ultra.  Lovely plaid Vernonware platter in green, bunt orange, and yellow colors. This platter is a hand painted heavy pottery, made in the USA. Vernonware pottery produced by the Vernon Kils company from Vernon, CA in the 1930-1950's. They went out of business in 1958. Their molds/patterns were acquired by Metlox Pottery until the 1970's.  Great platter for everyday use. No chips, cracks, crazing. Few small minor surface scratches.
